A totally private Western Cape Natural Wild-life Sanctuary. A tranquil hideaway nestled between Riviersonderend and Swellendam, just 2 hours drive from Cape Town. An environment of unsurpassed natural beauty, where breathtaking vistas and a sense of openness are achieved in an uncompromised environment.

This bush camp allows you the opportunity to reconnect with nature and embrace a lifestyle in harmony with the natural environment. Comfortable self-catering, wooden tented camp on the banks of Jongenskloof River. Natural water pool at the house.

Surrounded by the biggest and richest of the 6 plant kingdoms! Indigenous flora, fauna, avian, amphibian and reptile species abound. A 20 Minute walk along the Buchu Trail puts you into the kloof with crystal clear mountain rock pools to swim in. There is a swimming dam within a short walk of the camp good for lilo’s.

Please be aware that regardless of your party’s numbers the camp will only be rented to you exclusively. You will not be sharing the space for the weekend with strangers. The kloof pools, River picnic area, mountain walks are yours exclusively for the duration of your stay.

Birthday Parties & Special Events.

The remote location of the bush-camp lends itself beautifully to small parties for up to 50 people. We can provide a full set-up for you including stretch tents, bar service, sound-system, lighting & DJ’s playing your favorite tunes.

We can accommodate private parties for 100 people with some additional requirements for your safety & comfort. These events would require additional toilets & cleaning services.

 

Activities

Breathtaking unspoiled surroundings, mountain biking, hiking, swimming, 4×4 mountain drive (3km) or just relax and soak up the scenic beauty of this unique area. With beautiful access to the river, picnic for the day along the river. Beautiful swimming & absolute privacy make the river picnic area a beautiful day outing. Fishing enthusiasts should bring a line & rod with bass & yellow fish in the river. From the bush-camp you are 1 km from the river picnic area.

 

Accommodation

Fully equipped, newly restored historical pioneers farmhouse converted into communal kitchen and dining room with braai facilities. Kitchen has basic cutlery & crockery, also fitted with a fridge, microwave and gas stove.

6 Wooden safari style tented huts, which sleep two adults. Bedding not included. Beautiful marbled restrooms with hot water showers and flush toilets. House & tented huts are fully serviced on a daily basis.

Huts Adults – R 100.00 p/p / Children under 12 half price.

Camping R50 p/p Children under 12 half price. Own tent.

Day Visits – Adults – R 40.00 p/p / Children under 12 free

4X4 Trips – R 80.00 per vehicle
